Task 4


Working as a creative Trio
Your trio will be drawn up at random
Draw out a company trade that you have to brand
Start up business-Look at the things as a point of reference
Digitally create ‘Brand Guideline’ or brand style guide
This will include

Typography, number systems, leading, tracking, kerning
Colour selection
Layout and grid
Tone of voice

Create a brand map/plan of application/body of work

Reviews the product or your service your business offers
Consider the motive and rationale needs and concerns of your customers/consumers
Brand Character should promote your business, Connect with your customer base and differentiate you in the market

Personality determines how you behave in different situations
What is your business belief?  What is its purpose? And who are your inspirations

Consistent tone of voice- Clarify what it offers to its customers? Key messages need to work together to build a coherent identity
Be aware of competitors and identify the opportunities
Don’t mimic the look of chains or big brands
Be innovative, bold, and daring- Stand for something you believe in
Consider your branding when communicating to your customer base

Keylines-next to an edge or screen
Position-Top Left, bottom left etc.
Isolation logo example 10mm keeps it clean around
Logo misuses- what you shouldn’t do
                        -Outline, change the colours etc.
Colour schemes-3 colours
Alternative logo-Red or black
Typography- Font family etc. Licences
Hierarchy-Top line Red, Bottom line Black example
            -Stylizes everything for the client

Writing numbers- In body copy as words i.e. ‘ONE’ in headings i.e 1
